More about Me

I am from Bassano Del Grappa, North East Italy. I came to Aber as an international student when I was 17 to study economics. I've worked as an ambassador but because I couldn't commit to summers I've struggled to get a job here. I have however been able to volunteer a lot, both as general Undeb stuff like A-team and committee, but also with St john ambulance, as a sport commentator as well as the co-chair of a uk wide swimming league. I've always been involved with the Undeb and so when it was my time I stood in the election. And look at you now, stuck with me for a year.

I am motivated by the desire for change or maybe wanting to leave my mark in some way? Listen when I have my life figured out enough that I know what I'm motivated by I'll let you know but for now that's what you get.

I read a lot, I play a lot of sports, and I’m sure is no surprise to everyone, i volunteer a LOT.

fun fact : I actually never went on an open day and went on trust on a plane directed to aber. Best decision of my life

Current Priorities:

Below you can find a list of priorities Francesco is working on this year as well as her current progress on them.

Aberystwyth students will feel heard and represented. We will regularly speak with students to understand the challenges they face, ensuring we have the information needed to bring to the University and to guide the Union’s work.

Establish that no labs, practicals and/or examinations will take place on a Wednesday morning so there are no barriers to student athletes travelling for away games.

  • Liaise with the university on timetabling.
  • Cross reference timetable from last year to see how many students were affected.
  • Each Wednesday contact captains to see how many students have not been able to attend due to timetabling.
  • Contact students to collect stories.
  • Aim to trial during the second semester.

We are working on redeveloping sport facilities.*
