More about Me:

  • I'm an international student from France; I moved to Aber four years ago to study English and Creative Writing. Since then, I have graduated and have just finished my MA in creative writing! I fell in love with Aber and Welsh culture the moment I set foot here.
  • I am motivated by overcoming challenges. I am passionate about advocating for students and this is the perfect job to work on supporting their wellbeing.
  • In my personal life, I enjoy hiking, playing the flute and reading.
  • Fun fact: my accent is a bit of a blend and people can rarely tell I'm French at first. I've been asked if I was from New Zealand, Scotland, and London.

Current Priorities:

Below you can find a list of priorities Alice is working on this year as well as their current progress on them.

Aberystwyth students will feel heard and represented. We will regularly speak with students to understand the challenges they face, ensuring we have the information needed to bring to the University and to guide the Union’s work.

The University experience will have a positive impact on student's mental health and mental health will be considered when changes are introduced at the Union and University.

  • Talking to students to understand what harms their mental health within a university context.
  • Designing a Mental Health Impact Assessment with the help of the wellbeing services.
  • Getting the university to implement the assessment in its policy-making process and review its current policies.

Strengthen wellbeing support and visibility

  • Improve signposting to existing wellbeing services on and off campus.
