Held in the lovely seaside town of Aberystwyth; THE biggest Rugby 7s festival in Wales will once again take place on the first bank holiday in May; 30th April - 1st May 2022.
Entry will open on Friday 3rd December 2021 for Early Birds. The Early Bird entry will be £270 per team, and ends on 7th January 2022. The full price of £300 per team will be in effect from this date, until the final entry deadline of Friday 11th March 2022.

Men's Premier: (Sunday 1st May ONLY) *£2000 Prize Pot!*
One day event aimed towards teams who’s players all compete regularly at club level or higher.
Men's Intermediate: *£500 Prize Pot!*
Aimed towards teams who’s players have some previous / current playing experience. Teams in this league will have no more than 7 players with playing experience*.
Men's Beginner: *Aber7s Booby Prize!*
Aimed towards teams who’s players have either little or no playing experience. Teams in this league will have no more than 4 players with playing experience*.
*Playing experience - anyone who currently plays / has in the past played full contact rugby at club level or higher
If before / during the event it is found that you have purposefully placed your team in the wrong league, your team will be immediately withdrawn from the competition, and no refund will be given.
Women's: *£500 Prize Pot!*
The Women's Competition although seeded is currently not split into ability levels, with the intention for all teams to play in the same competition. However, if we do get enough teams entering to enable us to create two competitions (i.e. Intermediate & Beginner) we would be very keen to do this.
We are delighted to be working with the University again this year in regards to accommodation for our teams. We have been able to secure a discounted Aber7s rate of £24 per person per night (based on minimum 2 night stay) or £31 per person (1 night stay) in their newly refurbished 'BunkHouse' flats. **NEW for Aber7s 2022** We will also be working with Aberystwyth Rugby Club, who will be offering camping for our teams. The facility is located just 1 mile away from the Playing Fields, and benefits from indoor toilet and shower facilities as well as a clubhouse onsite serving food and drinks. They are charging just £5 per head per night. Contact Brian to book your team's pitch.

Dates: 30 April - 1 May 2022
Entry: Spectators entry to Aber7s 2022 is £5 a day / £8 for both days (cash & contactless payments accepted)
Parking: There will be a parking charge for all vehicles; £3 per day or £5 for both days. This will need to be obtained by an AberSU staff member (in Hi Viz) who will be at the parking site. The car park is located at Padarn United FC, which is next to the main event site. The car park will be closing following the final games on Sunday
Food and Drink: We have a range of food and drink options on the Aber7s site: American Diner, Indian cuisine, Hog roast, ice cream, coffee van and the University bar. You don’t need to leave the field!

Entry: Entry is free for all registered players so make sure to arrive with plenty of time prior to first fixture! Remember, you will all be searched for alcohol by security. If any alcohol is found, it will be confiscated.
Team Registration: From 9:00am on Saturday morning at the Officials Tent on Blaendolau. (Captains only please).
Fixtures: The first fixtures will begin at 9.30am SHARP on both days. Any team who is late / does not show for a fixture will be withdrawn from the whole competition.
Gum shields: There will also be a small separate stall selling gum shields.
Presentation: The Awards Presentation will take place at the venue, following the Main Cup Final at approximately 5:30pm on Sunday.
