Its your 25/26 Officers final week… so this week we are releasing round-up articles of their highlights of their year in the role!
This year has been so much fun and I’m so proud to have been your last Undeb Aberystwyth President.
My highlights start from the very moment on results night I heard my name as the new president, I was quite literally jumping for joy. To all the people I've worked with this year in the union, university and wider community, I’m so proud of all the work we do to make a difference to students' lives in all the ways we can. To every student I’ve helped this year if it’s through pointing them in the right direction, handing out free goodies throughout the year or just being a friendly face as they walk through the building - I wish you all the best in your studies and see you at graduation! To all the friends I’ve had through my time here - you've made such an impact on me as a person and pushed me to do my best. Oh and I promise I’ll stop pestering you to fill in surveys now.
All of the amazing opportunities this role has given me like sitting on university council, going to awards presentations or attending national conferences to shape the future for students, has given me so much experience and so to anyone thinking of becoming an officer do it because it might just be the best year of your life.
I want to say a special thank you to the girls that were with me everyday Nanw, Espe, Ffion and Tana. This year wouldn't have been the same without you all there! I wish the new officers all the best and I can't wait to see what you can do.
Aberystwyth isn't getting rid of me yet, I’ll be finishing my undergrad degree now so don't hesitate to say hi when you see me (probably in the library).
Enjoy a photo dump - also sorry to anyone that I have ever been near with a sharpie!
