Welome to the webpage of Aberystwyth University Aikido Club.

Aikido is a Japanese martial art designed to protect both its practitioners and their attackers from harm by redirecting the force of an attack. The term 'Aikido' is often translated as 'The Way of Harmonious Spirit'. 

Our training sessions take place as follows in the SU main hall on Penglais campus:

Friday 1800-1930

Please arrive ten minutes early to help us to process any paperwork and to put out the mats. If you do not have a Gi yet then please wear loose comfortable clothing without lots of zips - a tracksuit and t-shirt would be ideal.

You will need to be a member of club sporty in order to train with us. We offer two taster sessions for £5 before you commit to purchasing Aikido membership from the Students Union. Please see the instructions below on how to join us:
