The Tithe & Capitular Fund

THINKING OF DOING SOMETHING INSPIRATIONAL THIS SUMMER? ...

TAKING PART IN AN UNUSUAL CHALLENGE OR MAKING AN EXCEPTIONAL DIFFERENCE? ...

Each year Aberystwyth University Students' Union offers students the chance to apply for money to fund unusual, exceptional and inspirational summer activities named The Tithe and Capitular Fund.  In the past we’ve funded members of the Aberystwyth Student Scout and Guide Association on a trip to Iceland, the European Debating Championships and individual students to go to conservation projects in Indonesia and Honduras.  These are just examples, it could be anything you can think of!

To bid for funding, you will need to send us an application which covers the following details:

  • What it is that you want to do, and why it’s worth the students’ union funding your attendance
  • A full budget of the costings for you to undertake your trip, with evidence provided where possible (for example, the cost of flights, equipment, accommodation, etc – receipts must be submitted)
  • What elements of the trip you are paying for and how you’ve funded/will be funding this expenditure
  • Any references that you feel would be suitable
  • How much you would like from the Tithe and Capitular Fund up to a total of £500

Formatting and layout is up to you. Just impress us!

The deadline for applications is: 12pm on the 3rd of June 2022.
