About Us/ Amdanon ni:

We are a local group of Historia Normannis, a widespread 12th centuary re-enactment society with events all over the UK.
As a nationwide organisation, we have around 800 regular full time members across ~35 active cell groups and offer you the opportunity to take part in a range of exciting events throughout the UK during the summer show season!
If you decide to join us or indeed to come to one of our sessions we'll help train you to understand the general techniques of 12th century medieval combat and warfare, all in a safe way which allows groups acorss the country to fight together while avoiding all bodily harm.

Historia Normannis will help you to both broaden and develop your knowledge of historical facts so that you can then teach the general public at our events and shows - you don't need to be doing a history degree to join us!
We'll also help you to develop awesome life skills like sewing, cooking, leather work, wood work and armed combat. All these skills we teach and develop from a basic introduction right up to a expert understanding.

It's not just all work and no play, we hold regular socials so that you can come along, get to know each other and have some fun!
