Welcome to Curtain Call Musical Theatre Society!

Who are we?

Curtain Call was founded in 2006 by a collection of Aberystwyth students striving to find a place to exercise their love for Musical Theatre.

Ever since, we have performed countless musicals, showcases, and events in a variety of venues. As part of Aberystwyth University Student Union’s Drama societies, Curtain Call strives to provide the opportunity for all students to perform and experience musicals from every angle, including seeing shows, working on production teams, performing full-scale musicals, and our infamous showcases. And of course our weekly Tuesday socials!

Whether you have been in loads of productions or never heard a song before you are welcome in Curtain Call!

There are so many opportunities to get involved in every aspect of musical theatre throughout the year!

Curtain Call is for everyone - performers, directors, singers, stage managers, dancers, actors, lighting designers, costume designers, stage hands etc...

What do we do?

We put on two full-scale productions every year as well as three showcases - our more informal cabaret-style shows!

Showcase gives all our members a chance to showcase their talent singing anything within the musical theatre genre. This can be a solo, duet, or even a group number! You can check out previous showcase performances on our YouTube page Curtain Call MTS!

Alongside shows and showcases, we also have many other events throughout the year! These include:

• Weekly socials (every Tuesday)

• Society meals

• Fundraising events

• Ticket Launch events (for shows)
