Student Money Week - Officer Cost of Living Tips

Do you have any money saving tips that helped you out as a student?

Ffion - Sharing food with flatmates can help, stuff like bread and milk. Making a
packed lunch for campus always helped as well.
Millie - Make a shopping list before going or you'll end up buying random stuff you didn't need. Always check the reduced sections or go yellow label hunting in shops like M&S to get some nicer quality stuff for cheap.
Esperanza - Plan your meals. It doesn’t have to be specific but have a general idea of the things you would like to eat in the following days. Then you can come up with different meals that use similar ingredients.
Tanaka - Have some cash that you set aside for emergencies and ignore it (almost like a savings account). Meal prep and planning your grocery shops in advance.
Nanw- Remember your Tesco Clubcard

Favourite ‘cheap’ meal to cook?
Ffion - Pasta and sauce. The pasta, sauce and seasonings all came to about £5 for the lot, so per meal it worked out to about £1.
Millie - Pesto pasta has to be my fav quick cheap meal topped with loads of cheese.
Esperanza - Teriyaki beef noodles.
Tanaka - Chicken curry with rice and steamed broccoli.
Nanw - Pasta - cheap and tasty
