Name: Cleo
Role: Head of Communications & Engagement (job-share). My role includes coordinating the AberSU portfolio of communication: such as social media, the website, design and more.
Where is home?
I am originally from South Wales but now living about an hour away from Aber.
It’s your last meal on earth…what’s on the menu?
It’s a difficult toss-up between quesadillas with pico de gallo or Chinese food (can I have both?!)
Outside of work, what are your favourite pastimes or hobbies?
I love to travel and see new places, cooking and spending time with friends and family. I also love spending time outdoors, walking etc.
What do you love about working in Aberystwyth?
I love that every day is different, and the Undeb Aber team.
If you weren’t in your SU role…what would you be?
I could still see myself still working in marketing, maybe down the travel blogging or outdoor marketing route.
I love cooking/baking so maybe even owning a small cafe/flower shop.
Before working here, have you had much involvement with the students’ union or student groups?
While I was a student in Swansea University, I worked as a Promotions Assistant for the Union. I was never involved in any club or society during University, but wish I was after working here and seeing the community they create!
Why did you join the team here at AberSU?
I knew I loved working in the SU environment from my time in Swansea SU, so, after University when I started the job search I was so happy to see this opportunity pop up with Undeb Aber.
