AberSU is proud to present the final award evening of the week: AberSU Celebrates Sports Awards 2021.

These awards recognise the dedication of students to their Sports Club, recognising contributions socially, competitively and professionally.

This year we received 296 nominations & the shortlisting panel met virtually to read through the nominations and make some tough decisions.

We would like to congratulate everyone that was nominated as well as those winning the categories this evening.

Congratulations to all.

ADAPTABILITY AND RESILIENCE AWARD

This club has gone above and beyond to ensure all members have a great experience despite the pandemic. Despite problems with internet connections and time delay, they have managed to hold the majority of their classes, choreograph and teach 8 different dances using Teams calls. They have held virtual socials every week, from movie nights to challenges and all with costume themes; building a sense of community between members, despite only having seen each other in person a small number of times. The club has adapted to the covid guidelines; meeting / rehearsing online when necessary and also adapting in person activities when possible to do so in a covid safe manner.

Congratulations Showdance!
