Following the submission of an idea through ‘Your Ideas’ on our website. We’ve listened and recognise you wanted a space on campus to nap during exam periods!

AberSU have created a nap room which will be open for 45 minute slots between 11.30am and 4pm Monday 13th to Friday 17th May for students to catch some Zzz’s.

Similar spaces at other Students’ Unions have reported that healthy napping can support academic performance and mental wellbeing.

Molly-Jean Longden, Wellbeing Officer said:

“This idea is a fab way to make sure our students are really looking after their mental health and wellbeing during the exam periods. It’s so important to get a decent amount of sleep, especially during exam periods when you’re really pushing your brain.”

Users will be asked for their feedback on use of the space, which will be used to determine the viability of whether this kind of space would be useful outside of exam periods.

Slots can be booked via the Students’ Union Reception Desk.
