Firstly, a massive thanks to every member of UMCA this year, we would be nothing without so many keen members taking part, thank you!
I don’t know when I start regarding highpoints, there have been so many of them! But the ones that come straight to mind are Meinir Gwilym in the Intercollege Dance, raising so much money during RAG Week and watching everyone performing so brilliantly in the Intercollege Eisteddfod! Walking to the Eisteddfod stage with everyone chanting my name will be an unforgettable moment, no of the other presidents got close to the same amount of support, goosebumps indeed!
I have also had the chance and the pleasure to take part in several events in the wider Students’ Union, including presenting at the awards nights and representing Welsh speaking students in the Senedd. This job has been an eye opener for me at times and I’m very thankful for the opportunity that will be a part of who I am for the rest of my life. I would like to especially thank my 4 closest colleagues, the Union Officer team! To Cameron, Ash, Rachel, and Elizabeth, I owe a huge thanks, you have been amazing this year, enthusiastic co-workers, and happy to help on every occasion, but more than that, good friends who have taught me a lot across the year.
At the start of the year, I promised that this was my chance to give back to UMCA for being such an important part of my life in developing as a person. I truly hope that I have given the best possible year to all of you! I would like to wish the best of luck to everyone for next year, whether in Aber again or going out to the real world! Good luck also to Elain and the new Committee, UMCA is safe in your capable and passionate hands!
