Society of the Month Award
Congratulations to Tickled Pink for gaining the Award of the Society of the Month!
This student group was chosen as the most active society in January and February 2021. It was nominated for the award due to the organisation of multiple online ‘Boob Schools’, raising money, and spreading awareness about breast cancer.
The nominations included:
”…because of all the hard work they've done to keep spreading awareness and raising money despite the difficult circumstances.
”…they have kept active and offered a great space for their members to stay in touch, helping in time of isolation.”

Club of the Month Award
Congratulations to Showdance for gaining the Award of the Club of the Month!
This student group was chosen as the most active club in January and February 2021. They were nominated for the award due to their amazing activity over the past months. Their group has organised ‘Old Girls’ event, during which the members were able to meet with the club’s alumni, as well as actively worked on preparations for the online 2021 Varsity competition.
One of the nominations stated:
“They have provided opportunities for members to get to know one another, including virtual old girls where older members and current ones were able to meet and extra classes with professionals. Showdance is in the midst of learning dances for Varsity (despite not being able to meet in person!) and have also been able to showcase our dances learnt for arts fest.”
They have kept active and engaged, providing their members with tasks and challenges to keep their morale high. It is great to see such empowerment in these times of unprecedented isolation.
