AberSU shortlisted for prestigious NUS People, Participation and Democracy Awards
Aberystwyth University Students’ Union has been shortlisted for three awards in the National Union of Students Awards 2018:
The NUS awards are an annual celebration of the extraordinary work which Students’ Unions undertake each day whilst reflecting on the standout stories and achievements of the past year and the Students’ Union has been shortlisted for the People Award, the Participation Award and the Democracy Award,
Bruce Wight, Aberystwyth University Students’ Union Development Officer is “extremely proud to see our SU be shortlisted for these particular NUS awards. We’ve been working hard to change our focus to membership and academic engagement and being shortlisted for these awards is a real testament to the hard work of staff and Officers over the last couple of years – it would be brilliant to bring at least one award back to Aber with us!”
Congratulations and good luck to all the other shortlisted Students’ Unions – particularly to our fellow Welsh nominees. Winners will be announced at the Awards evening at the Birmingham NEC on the 4th of July and the full shortlist is available here
