Originally launched on 1st of January 2011 the initial aim of the appeal was to raise funds for charities that were paramount in supporting Elain James and her family through an incredibly tough first year of life in 2010. Since its launch ApêlElain has raised over £54,000 for various cardiac and other charities involved in Elain's care throughout South West Wales and beyond.
