SolidariTee's Tee Week!
At SolidariTee, each year we run a series of campaign weeks. These weeks are an opportunitiy for our volunteers across the counry to act collectively as a movement, amplify our voices, and achieve fundraising goals far beyond what any of us alone could reach. This year we are over the moon to introduce "Tee Week" as our first campaign week of the year!
Why Tee Week?
One of the biggest ways we raise funds and awareness at SolidariTee is through the sale of our t-shirts or "SolidariTees". Every tee sold directly supports trauma-informed legal aid and mental health support for Refugees in Greece. Every tee you wear acts as a statement of solidarity with those who have been forced to flee their homes around the world. Tee Week provides our chance to put our tees front and centre.
From the 12th-18th of October, SolidariTee volunteers across the country come together to sell tees, host events, create content and make a whole lotta noise. By operating as one movement, we can amplify our impact and make solidarity impossible to ignore.
Why Now?
The timing of Tee Week is intentional. It creates an opportunity to bring our volunteers together at the very start of the academic year, while also helping us to get vital funding to our partners before the end of the calendar year. For our partners, the start of the academic year is also a critical window for fundraising. Getting this funding to our partners before the end of the yer supports their efforts while they begin developing their budgets and planning activities for the following year. The earlier we can raise and distribute funds, the more effectively our partners can plan and deliver their crucial work.
What Can You Do?
Those who donate directly fund the vital work of our partners in supporting people who have been displaced across the world. Come see us on campus and purchase some SolidariTee merchandise (and a sweet treat) and wear you support with pride! Or, you could donate to SolidariTee via our central website, where shirts can also be purchased (but please do make sure to add that you are purchasing due to the efforts of the Aberystwyth SolidariTee Team in the notes section of your order to help us reach our goals)!
Keep an eye on our Instagram for sneak peeks of our upcoming events! We'll see you during Tee Week!
