AUFC is made up of 3 teams that compete and represent the University across the Mid Wales and BUCs leagues.
The club represents the University in a variety of competitions including BUCS and the local district leagues of Aberystwyth and Mid-Wales. We currently have three teams in the University, which are designed to provide all students interested with an opportunity to play competitive football for our club. Our 1st Team have been recently premoted to 2B in the BUCS leagues and achieved safety in the league in the 2019/20 season. They also compete in the 2nd Division of the Spar Mid-Wales League. Our 2nd team play in BUCS 5B and in the 1st Division of the Cambrian Tyres League whilst our 3rd Team compete exclusively in the 2nd Division of Cambrian Tyres.
Getting involved with the University Football Club not only provides you with a great opportunity to play competitive football whilst in Aberystwyth, it is a fantastic way of meeting new people, making friends and really making the most of your time in Aberystwyth either through training and games or our social events. We train twice a week, Monday at 7-8.30pm and Thursday 6 - 7pm on the University 3G with matches predominantly being on Wednesdays (BUCS) and Saturdays (League). As well as training and competing we also have a great social element to the club, and our Socials are held every Wednesday Night, 7pm in the Picture House room of the Students Union!
