In this session, Lucy Orton, anti-self-sabotage expert, podcaster and certified positive psychology coach, will explain how self-care is not optional, and is, in fact, more crucial than ever, given the challenges we all face in 2021. Lucy champions the importance of taking care of ourselves and our own needs as a priority, so that we can perform better in our work or studies, our relationships and our lives in general.

During this session, Lucy will be discussing:

- Why we are in a self care emergency, and what that means for students right now

- What self care is...

- ...And what self care isn't

- The importance of creating a personalised 'self-care prescription' and how to prioritise your self care plan

- The topic of 'permission' and how we can shift our mindset around the purpose of self care

- The ways self care positively aids rather than reduces our productivity

- Self care, self kindness and our inner voice

- The alternative to prioritising self care... (spoiler alert, it's not pretty!)
