Mae Cymdeithas Iddewig Prifysgol Aberystwyth isio cynnig cymuned a diwylliant i’r poblogaeth o fyfyrwyr Iddewig ar y campws yn ogystal â gweithio fel corff cynrychioli ar gyfer myfyrwyr Iddewig. Rydym yn grwp sydd yn croesawu pawb heb ots am eu hil, rhywedd ac rhywioldeb.

Rydym yn croesawu Iddewon seciwlar ac Iddewon crefyddol yn ogystal â phobl sydd ddim yn Iddewon ond sydd â diddordeb mewn Iddewiaeth, diwylliant a hanes Iddewig. Rydym yn gobeithio creu awyrgylch lle fydd pawb yn teimlo bod nhw’n cael eu gwerthfawrogi a’u parchu. Yn fwy na ddim rydym ni gan fwyaf yn cydsynnu ag Iddewiaeth rhyddfrydol (Liberal/Reform) ond yn croesawu aelodau sy’n Dilyn wahanol lefelau o ddefodau crefyddol.

Rydym yn cynnal noson cymdeithasol wythnosol ar ddydd Gwener ar gyfer y Shabbot am 6:30yh yn y Gofod Ffydd (rhwng llyfrgell Hugh Owen a’r Undeb Myfyrwyr). Rydym yn annog i’r rhai sy’n bwriadu mynychu ddod â rhywbeth i’r bwrdd Shabbot, ond dydi hynny dim yn angenrheidiol. Fel rhywbeth ychwanegol rydym ni’n annog i chi ddod â’ch ffrindiau; mae Shabbot yn amser ar gyfer cymuned a meddylgarwch, rydym isio sicrhau bod ein cymdeithas yn agored a chroesawgar i bawb.

Aberystwyth Jewish Society is committed to providing community and culture to the Jewish student population on campus in addition to serving as a representative body of the Jewish students. We are a welcoming and inclusive organization to which all are welcome regardless of heritage, race, gender expression and sexuality.

We welcome both secular and non-secular Jews, as well as non-Jews with an interest in Judaism and Jewish culture and history.  We aim to create an environment in which all feel heard, valued, and respected. We predominantly align ourselves with Liberal/Reform Judaism but welcome members of all levels of observance.

We hold weekly socials on Fridays in observation of Shabbot at 6:30 pm in the Faith Space. We encourage those in attendance to bring something to contribute to the Shabbot table, although it is not required. Additionally, we encourage the bringing of friends; Shabbot is a time for community and intention, and we want to make clear that all are welcome.
