Students are now eligible to apply for a 2000 euro scholarship and the opportunity for a 1-3 month internship with GoEuro, a travel startup based in Berlin, available until December 15th of this year. Students must be enrolled at Aberystwyth University for the 2014/2015 school year and must complete a project entitled “A Closer Europe.”
GoEuro is a travel startup that aims to make it easier for travellers to access smaller places throughout Europe and the UK. While everyone knows how easy it is to hop on a plane and head to a major city on the continent it is far more difficult to access smaller towns and communities. GoEuro is a search engine that gives you access to buses, trains and flights between European destinations. They understand that a broke student is far more interested in saving a few quid by taking a longer bus or train ride than getting to their destination bright and early and cater to that. You can search for the quickest route option, but also the cheapest.
The theme of the contest is “A Closer Europe.” Students are encouraged to respond with either a 1500 word essay or a creative response - anything from a blog post to a video essay or a youtube clip. While the entry should reflect the titular theme it is open to a variety of interpretations - some of their suggestions include transportation, culture and education. All you need is a quick essay telling GoEuro about your vision for a more connected Europe and you will be entered to win 2000 euros, and an internship in Berlin. What more could you ask for?
