As a means of enhancing wellbeing, this Positive Psychology-based workshop provides a range of helpful techniques to add to your personal wellbeing ‘toolkit’. Made up of three core elements: Mindfulness and present-moment awareness, Tackling ‘mind monsters’ and Self-compassion, this practical session will support you in increasing your ability to demonstrate positive coping and build resilience.

As research shows, by being fully ‘present’ through using mindfulness, it’s possible to engage effective problem-solving coping techniques. This supports the ability to get into a positive mindset and make better choices that support wellbeing.

Further, by being able to identify the negative thinking traps that we are all likely to slip into when under pressure, it’s becomes possible to address these limiting thoughts for what they actually are: just thoughts! This in turn increases our ability to become more self-aware and, over time, implement better coping, both more quickly and successfully.

Research also shows that being able to demonstrate self-compassion promotes many benefits: increased happiness and motivation, great feelings of self-worth and a reduction in issues such as anxiety, depression and stress.

By engaging with these techniques during the session, attendees will leave with an increased ability to self-manage and engage positive coping to support their wellbeing.
