We cater to all abilities with the majority of new-comers never having touched a rugby ball before! However, with dedicated training sessions and encouragement from a great team, you'll quickly learn everything there is to know about the game! If you're an experienced player, you'll be able to continue developing your skills. 

 

Our main training sessions are as follows: 7:00-8:30pm on Fridays and 2-3:30pm Sundays on the Astroturf outside of the university sports centre.

Our coach Rob Rudge is a highly qualified coach with vast experience including coaching a Women's Premiership team. Since joining us for the 22/23 season, Rob has proven his dedication and commitment to the team, pushing us weekly and giving us new opportunities. With his help, we have made massive improvements as a team which led us to getting some good wins under our belt last season. We are excited to be working with him for another season and hope that with his expertise and guidance, we are able to continue to grow and develop as a team.

But it's not all about the rugby - Weekly socials are amazing too! Social nights are on Wednesday evenings, the main uni night out for all sports teams, and vary in locations depending on sponsorship and drinks deals. Even if you don't want to drink, you are more than welcome to come out with us as we are all part of a team and want everyone to enjoy themselves. We also host regular sober socials if you fancy a break from a heavy night out, so feel free to come along! Our weekly socials are usually themed nights, such as Army, Toy Story, Back to School, etc. where everyone likes to get stuck in to try and dress to impress with the best costumes.

 

Membership prices consist of £35 a year, and this covers insurance, participation in BUCS scheduled games, use of all university facilities and transport costs to games. You will also need to buy Team Aber Insurance which is £4 (you will only need to buy this once anually and are able to sign up to as many clubs and societies as you wish).
