A word from the organiser.....

The Inter-Collegiate Dance (Y Rhyng-gol) 2016 is certain to be one of the best ever!

Firstly, there's an impressive line-up for the gig, with a rare opportunity this winter to hear one of the scene's leading figures, Yws Gwynedd performing. This is the first time Brython Shag have performed here in Aberystwyth, and I'm sure the band will entertain the crowd. I'm also especially pleased with the variety on offer, with Mellt, Omaloma and a new band from the Carmarthen area, Los Blancos, playing.

But the weekend isn't just about music, there will be sporting events on the Saturday, including 7-a-side rugby, football and netball. There will be a Stomp (poetry session) in the Coopers Arms on the Friday night, and an opportunity to socialise around Aberystwyth and enjoy one of the best nights out in Wales. Also, remember to take advantage of the offers that are available over the weekend, by showing your armbands in the appropriate places. Lastly, UMCA is very grateful to Ochr 1 for sponsoring the Inter-Collegiate Dance this year and supporting live events!
