- If it wasn’t for my sports team (Swimming and Water Polo) I would have dropped out of university in my first year. However, the facilities are not up to standard and are prioritised by the sports centre for public use, which is a weird concept when they are university facilities – surely the university students should come first!
- I love getting involved with student groups and meeting people with the same interests as me, but I really can’t afford to pay to join any of the clubs, let alone pay for an ‘AberSoc’ or ‘SportAber’ membership. I pay £9000 a year – why can’t it come out of that?
- I represented the university in my sports in the BUCS league which competes on a Wednesday, this means that the lectures / tutorials I have on a Wednesday I usually miss and get heavily scrutinized by my lecturers and tutors. At other universities, they have Wednesdays off for this reason, and for general well-being time. Why can’t we have something like this here?
